Exporting Cash Crops

Al Barajoub International Co. Ltd. (BIC),was the first initiative of the group, established in the year 1987. The objective was to export Sudanese Cash Crops. This was a bold step in those years by its entrepreneurial founder Mr. Mohammed Ahmad Suliman, Chairman of the AlBarajoub Group of Companies. Later the company ventured in supplying spare parts to the cement factories in Sudan, which initiated the birth of new company AlBarajoub Engineering, the company which gave a major break-through for the group. BIC has become the most leading part of the group as initiator for all new businesses.

Export being core business for BIC, it is managed on high significance through a professional team in the export division. BIC also covers the importation of construction steel through its steel division, which also stocks other construction material both imported and locally manufactured.

Export division
The export division takes care of the exports of Hibiscus & Siftings, Sesame Seeds, Peanuts, and Gum Olibanum to European countries, Mexico and Russia.

The BIC brand has become synonymous to hibiscus from Sudan, in the countries that it exports. The success of BIC brand in hibiscus export has come through the quality initiative from the beginning. The customer relationship which runs over 18 yrs in some cases is self-explanatory to its efforts in ensuring high quality and good service for its products.

Hibiscus being the core business of BIC, it operates own operating facilities at Simyah, Al Rahad and Al Obeid in Western Sudan. The facility is well organized with the local professional teams and completely coordinated from the BIC offices in Khartoum.
